Cleveland Senior Day~ Age Out Loud!

Celebrating May as Older American's Month, The City of Cleveland’s Department of Aging held its annual Senior Day event at Cleveland Public Auditorium.

      Over 2000 attended!  Larry Patch & The TOPS Band

      

More than 2,000 seniors gathered for the event which featured vendors including Cleveland EMS, Cleveland Water and partner agencies such as the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Seniors in attendance also enjoyed live entertainment and lunch.

Mayor Frank G. Jackson welcomed the crowd. Cleveland City Council members each selected one senior from their awards to be recognized at Senior Day.

Monica Robins, Health Correspondent for WKYC hosted the festivities as the emcee!  A total of 17 seniors were honored, one posthumously. Mayor Jackson and Department of Aging Director Mary McNamara presented the award winners with certificates.
