The McGregor Foundation believes that supporting older adults means more than providing essential services – it means creating opportunities for connection, creativity, purpose and enrichment. That legacy continues through the Foundation’s support of Future Ink Graphics (FIG) and its Expressions of Experience program.
Through this initiative, FIG is offering eight 1½-hour bilingual (English/Spanish) workshops for seniors. Held in FIG’s studio, the workshops give older adults the opportunity to explore painting, printmaking and mixed media under the guidance of professional teaching artists.
The program recently welcomed 22 women from the Hispanic Senior Center for its first class. The eight workshops are being held each Wednesday from 10–11 a.m. through Oct. 14.
FIG’s entire team – its Art Director, Studio Manager and Inclusion Specialist, help create an accessible and welcoming environment, supporting workshop logistics and assisting participants as they explore their creativity.
An especially meaningful part of the program is what comes next. Participants and teaching artists will work together to design a culminating exhibition featuring the seniors’ artwork, including promotional materials highlighting their creative work. The exhibition is tentatively scheduled for Nov. 12 from 5–6:30 p.m.

The partnership reflects an important part of the McGregor Foundation’s enduring legacy: investing in programs that enrich the lives of older adults and strengthen the communities where they live.
For nearly 150 years, McGregor has recognized that aging is about more than care. It is about living a meaningful life, staying connected, discovering new interests and having opportunities to share talents and experiences.
As McGregor approaches its 150th anniversary in 2027, the Foundation continues that tradition, supporting organizations and programs that help older adults experience creativity, connection and renewed purpose.
