Older Americans Month

How McGregor PACE Serves Older Adults in Cuyahoga County

Helping Seniors “Age Their Way” and Continue to Live in the Community

The month of May is the Administration for Community Living’s Older Americans Month. The theme for this year is “Age My Way,” with an emphasis on aging in place—which is the primary goal of the PACE program. During this month, community members and aging services providers alike are called on to explore the ways that older adults can remain in, and be involved with, their communities.

McGregor PACE is committed to allowing our community’s older adults to age in place by providing services that help individuals continue to live in their homes independently in the community rather than needing to move in order to receive skilled nursing care. Our team of interdisciplinary medical specialists, along with social workers and other professionals, provide comprehensive care for each PACE participant. We help you coordinate your care, including seeing a specialist, managing your medication, and providing therapy services.

How Does PACE Help Seniors Age in Place?

The PACE program keeps your loved one at home by giving them the care and support they need. These are just some of the many services we offer our participants:

  • Door-to-door transportation to and from a PACE center up to five days a week
  • Primary care and clinic services
  • Nursing services
  • Social work services
  • Physical therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Specialist care
  • Home health care service
  • Home chore services
  • Home meals
  • Nutritious prepared meals (breakfast and lunch) at a PACE center
  • Dynamic activities at a PACE center
  • Opportunities for social engagement at a PACE center

PACE programs across the country are designed to keep older adults living independently in their homes in the community. We are fortunate to have the PACE program here in Cuyahoga County, and we invite you to determine your eligibility or the eligibility of a loved one.
